Curnte Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Curnte collects, uses, shares, retains, and protects information in the Curnte Rider and Curnte Driver apps and related services.

Apps covered by this policy

This policy applies to Curnte Rider, Curnte Driver, curnte.com, and related Curnte services operated by Curnte Technologies.

Information we collect

  • Account information such as name, email address, phone number, profile details, sign-in identifiers, account role, support messages, and account status.
  • Driver onboarding information such as identity verification details, uploaded documents, profile photo or selfie, vehicle details, eligibility status, and background or compliance review information where required.
  • Ride and trip information such as pickup and drop-off locations, route details, trip times, fare estimates, ride status, ratings, cancellation activity, and support history.
  • Location information, including approximate and precise location when needed to match riders and drivers, show live trip progress, support safety features, calculate fares, and operate dispatch.
  • Payment and transaction information such as fare amounts, payout records, subscription or fee status, purchase receipts, and payment processor references. Curnte does not store full payment card numbers.
  • Device, app, and usage information such as device type, operating system, app version, IP address, diagnostics, crash logs, app events, fraud-prevention signals, and security logs.

How we use information

  • To create and manage rider and driver accounts.
  • To match riders with drivers, process rides, calculate fares, show live trip status, provide navigation-related features, and manage trip history.
  • To verify drivers, review submitted documents, help protect rider and driver safety, prevent fraud, and enforce platform rules.
  • To process payments, driver payouts, receipts, refunds, subscriptions, and tax or accounting records.
  • To send service messages, safety notices, support replies, account alerts, and operational updates.
  • To improve app reliability, debug problems, measure performance, analyze feature usage, and protect Curnte from abuse or unauthorized access.

Location data

Curnte uses location data to provide core rideshare functions, including pickup, dispatch, driver matching, trip tracking, safety support, routing, fare calculation, and fraud prevention. Some features may not work if location permission is disabled. Driver location may be collected while a driver is online or completing a trip so riders can see arrival and trip progress.

Third-party services

  • Google Maps or mapping services for maps, routing, address lookup, and location display.
  • Payment processors and Google Play Billing for payments, subscriptions, receipts, refunds, and entitlement checks.
  • Analytics, diagnostics, crash reporting, hosting, database, and infrastructure providers that help us operate and secure the apps.
  • Identity, compliance, messaging, email, and support providers when needed for account verification, driver onboarding, safety, or customer service.

Sharing of information

We do not sell personal information. We share information only as needed to operate Curnte, including between riders and drivers for active trips, with service providers, with payment and compliance partners, when required by law, to protect safety, to investigate fraud or abuse, or with your direction or consent.

Data retention

We keep personal information for as long as needed to provide the apps, maintain account records, comply with legal, tax, insurance, fraud-prevention, safety, and dispute-resolution obligations, and enforce our terms. Trip, payment, driver eligibility, and safety records may be retained for legitimate business or legal reasons after account closure. When information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it.

Your choices and rights

  • You may request access, correction, export, or deletion of your personal information by contacting support@curnte.com.
  • You may manage app permissions, including location and notifications, through your device settings.
  • You may manage Google Play subscriptions or purchases through Google Play.
  • You may request account deletion at https://curnte.com/delete-account.

Children

Curnte is not intended for children under 13, and children may not create rider or driver accounts. If you believe a child has provided personal information to Curnte, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.

Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect accounts, trip data, payments, and operational systems from unauthorized access and misuse.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as Curnte changes, legal obligations evolve, or platform requirements change. The current version will be posted on this page with the latest update date.
